Hi all, Thought i would share some tinkering with you. this is not a mechanical so, it probably shouldn't be here. Last week I got a small chip in my tank. user error, dropped a tool that had a sharp egde and chipped the paint through the cover, bloody anoying. So i started looking at ways to cover it while I look for a matching paint pen. I came up with these, thought they might help somebody else with some options. Started with pin strips as i had some in the shed, ended with the wrap for something different and because i love the look of carbon-fibre. John.

Hi Ray,
Nah, the chip is so small, thin and sharp but to the metal. i filled it with a wax pencil so it was smooth then wrapped over it.
We were undecided on which way to go, every body loved the two thin strips but the curve of the tank made them flow sideway to the eye. So i wrapped the half tank for a slightly different theme. it really changes the look of the bike.
john.

Hey Guys, I got sick of the Carbon look, didn't match the bike well enough. So i went further understated. Careful placement of the thick stripe and the chip is covered. Thanks for reading, john
