Interesting as it was on my Postie bike that I tried it, & it didn't get one kilometer up the road before all the 'stuff' had leaked out the spoke holes.

Well for mine Lisbeth i'd read them again and really take on board the absolute necessities that are outlined here. Done the right thing with the bike service ,allshall be well there we hope. Steve's suggestion about the slime for your tyres is a good one .Iff you puncture a tyre and nobody is about it could be quite a discerning time for you. This stuff should eliminate this problem . If you have been checking Moe;s meanderings out ,before he shoved off from my place we put that slime in both tyres. Just carry your basic tools that you should have already and your personal papers in case of those things we dont like to talk about. Maybe if you have time try to do a basic course in m/c maintenance. Just make sure all lights work fine before going each day ,oil levels are good ,and keep the fuel well replenished for a certain distance. Have a safe trip when you do go and dont forget the camera. Cheers Ray Ray, doesn't that slime only work in tubeless tyres? Can you have tubeless tyres if you have 'spoked' wheels? I know I tried that stuff in a previous bike with spoked wheels (& tubes) & it wouldn't work. i put some in Moe's tyres before he left my place on his meanderings. No problems at all. A trick to do is make sure you give the tyres a run shortly after to get the slime evenly spread in the walls .Some say if you dont you'll get a wobbly well because it sets at the bottom and balls up .more or less. Cheers Ray

Supposed to chuck it down the tube valve stem ya wally lol It goes great just a bit of time, valve stem at bottom and upside down bottle with tube over valve stem, just runs in. Then run the bike for a couple of k's to spread it around and bobs your uncle. Steve

Nobody has mentioned that Honda do a rider assist service.
Platinum cover for $119 :
Honda Rider Assist has been developed by Honda Australia and there are many benefits for Honda riders and the following information will outline the details of the Gold or Platinum programs. Terms and Conditions: Honda Rider Assist applies to registered Honda road or road/trail motorcycles sold only in Australia (proof of Honda ownership is required for membership eligibility), whilst travelling on gazetted roads trafficable via normal two wheel drive recovery vehicles, provided the motorcycle is well maintained and in a sound roadworthy condition. We reserve the right not to extend Honda Rider Assist to you if, in our sole opinion, you do not conduct regular preventative maintenance as specified by Honda Australia of your motorcycle or an after market accessory fitted to your motorcycle causes the breakdown or you misuse Honda Rider Assist. In this case, you will not be entitled to a refund of your membership fee. Any costs relating to parts, labour and any other costs associated with the repair of your motorcycle, including replacement batteries and tyres will be at your expense, unless those items are covered by a Honda Australia warranty. Whilst the services will be provided for owner / rider related faults such as lost keys, run out of fuel and flat tyres, any services provided due to the owner's poor maintenance, repair or accessory fitment not carried by a Honda dealer may be charged back to the owner. We can arrange accident transportation of motorcycles or recovery of disabled motorcycles not accessible by normal two wheel drive recovery vehicles or recovery equipment; eg motorcycles located off public bitumen roads, however all costs will be your responsibility. Honda Rider Assist is specifically designed for Honda motorcycles, components and genuine accessories. Whilst service will still be provided for non genuine Honda components or accessory related faults, the rider will be responsible for any additional costs beyond the initial call out if the fault has been caused by a non-genuine part or accessory. We do not guarantee that our Services will be continuous and uninterrupted. We will not be responsible for any delay or failure to provide any of these services. We will not be liable to any person for loss or damage, including consequential loss or any costs, expenses, claims and demands of any kind whatsoever, suffered or incurred as a result of any act or omission by us or our employees, agents or contractors, relating either directly or indirectly to the provision of the services. To the extent permitted by law, your only relief against us will be the re-supply of any of our services. If your motorcycle is left unattended, we will not be able to carry out any work on your motorcycle unless keys are left with the motorcycle and approval given by the owner to commence work. Any additional costs incurred due to the owner being away from the motorcycle and any subsequent call outs where we have attended a breakdown and the owner did not advise they would not be with the motorcycle will be at the owners’ expense.

No, I don't work for them. I ride.

So basically it has to be a bike bought from a Honda dealer, maintained by the Honda dealer, with only accessories fitted by the Honda dealer and your on a bitumen road. Now, if any of the accessories cause the problem, even if installed by the Honda dealer, you'll be charged extra.
Also your not covered if they trash your bike.
Oh, and they may or may not turn up if you do call them.
seems to me that it's just a list of excuses why they can't help you and if they do why you'll still end up paying more.

NRMA or RACQ here in Qld will look after you if you are a gold card member. In fact they will come to help you whatever you're riding or driving (even if it's not yours). I have often had help with flat tyres on the bike in the past.
