Well talk about a kick in the guts. 11 years of service to a company and get a tap on the shoulder today. And given a piece of paper notice of intended redundancy. 2 weeks at home before they make their mind up if they have a job for me. Made me hand in my pass and escorted me off the property. Feeling pissed off atm. But we will see what happens.   |

That is how companies are these days. there is no loyalty anymore business is just too competitive, it's all to do with staying afloat and making the business profitable. We have restructures ever 3 years, so nobody gets too comfortable.

Man that sucks, oh well chin up I got the shaft 6 years ago with the GFC now doing half the hours for about the same dollars and the company that did the dirty on me and a few other that were on the better money and kept the kids on the lower incomes have now gone belly up, who said you don't need experienced workers.

That sucks dazza Take em for all you can get then show em YA don't need them by going on to bigger and better things. These days people don't seem to stay in jobs for very long and companies don't expect you to either. It's just painful applying for new jobs isn't it. I know it will all turn out for the best for you .. best wishes from both of us  |

Not a good notice to get matey. Big fella's upstairs will be making a mistake letting a long time worker go. One door closes, another will open. Hope you find something bigger and better!
