Hi all,i have been going through the classroom and tech talk looking for older threads regarding a service on my vt 400,wanting to know oil type and amounts needed,filters and shaft oil type and amount,i probably overlooked it,but if anyone could give me a link that would be great,im up to 18000 Ks Cheers Scooter  |

hi, as for engine oil i use castrol Activ 4T 15W-50 4 litre quiet often on sale at super cheap you only need 2.6 litre if changing oil filter as well, cheaper to buy 4 litre. as for oil filter i just get the one from auto barn PT WMOFOl, Final drive oil --from any bike shop--Hypoid gear oil SAE80 have a look in here,vt750 aero www.vt750dc.com/maintenance/service-manualscheers, spinal. |

I'm in supercheap now and they don't have it here Rang Penrite and they said HPR GAS 10, 10W 50 Is Ok for bikes (has the bike symbol on it) Anyone use that before? It's $43.78 for 6lt, better than $70 for 4 Lt of Honda pull from the dealer I'll leave it for now and wait to see your responses |

it must be just at your store--googled supercheap entered SA store locator and a few other stores have it.

I am about to service my VT400 & would like to make the best choice possible |
