ok, I have a 06 H shadow VT750c (classic/aero) ... book says front tyre is supposed to be 120/90-17...
ANY shadow riders with similar bike ever put a 130/80-17 sized tyre on front ?? IF so, any rubbing issues ?
is the 120 height and 90 width

Hi Ricksta. The 120mm is the width. 90, is 90% of the width, meaning 108mm in height. If you are looking at the 130 or 140 you will need to find out if the measurement is from the tread or from wall to wall. Also, if you use a different tyre size than recommended, the bike is unroadworthy. Just a small side issue.

Thx for the reply. I think I'll be right with the 130/80-17... Have any vt750 riders got or had one of these on their front tyre? Still in process of confirming

Depends on your gaurd bolts . Some have had to file the top of the bolts a tab to stop very slight rubbing with the 130,s .Croc is right about the Honda aero site .
