Hi I have just purchased a VT750C4 (2006) . When turning, the bars hit my knee. It's OKif I swing my knee out a bit but annoying and maybe could be a problem in a rush. Is there a riser or do I need to change handlebars or alter the footpegs position? Or just live with it? Any ideas apart from altering my legs would be appreciated cheers Pete

You can purchase risers, but have you tried to undo the handlbar bolts and lift the grips up so you shift the position of the handlbars. This should make the grip part of the handlbar clear your knees. Move the handlbars up or down (by the grips) until you have found a comfortable riding position and re tighten the bolts. There should be chrome caps hiding the bolts, you will need to prise them off with a screw driver to get to the bolts.

you can get forward controls which move everything forward which will straighten out your legs, 4 & 6 inch ones, maybe more would have to check, if you go this way i think once you get to 6 inch F/Ward control they will not fit if you have crash bars on, someone else on here may help you out in that Dept. you must be very tall to have the bars hitting your knees, as for handle bars, you can raise them but you would have to buy different set of bars, then buy some risers [range from 1 to 10 inch] then have to buy new longer clutch, throttle and all wiring to reach.cost a lot of dollars. hope this is of some help.we have a member he's about 6ft 1 or so he got 6 inch F/Ward controls on his and says'it is fine, no doubt he will see this post and help you out, aye Rayd, lol.
cheers,

You can buy risers that fit the bottom of the welded risers from the USA,You unbolt the 04-08 risers/bars from the bike and screw the New risers too the bottom of them as the top of new risers are threaded to axcept the welded risers 12mm bolt. You then bolt the bottom of new riser to your bike.Or you can buy the 08-15 model risers and bars at your local honda dealers which bolt straight on,but it costs more.

Hi again I can't find the risers or spacers to fit the Shadow 06 VT750 C4. I read here that in the States this is an Aero? AllI can find is risers to fit bars that detach from the stock riser, not the welded ones. Would appreciate a link or address to find them please. Also,If I get forward controls such as this, eBay item number:161082444293, do I need to get anything else? Cheers pete 2006 VT750 C4

Yes Scootworks have them Riser extensions, and if you need more height, you can cut your bars off 55mm in from the ends, whitch is at the end of the anty vibe solid steel rods, there is still enough bars for your controls brake/clutch ect. Cheers have fun.

When you say turning, do you mean at low speed. Around a 90°street corner or a slow U turn? Sent from my SM-N9007 using proboards
