Azure is having a small problem with an oil leak .Advice for her would be Apprecciated I have ridden to WA and had a problem with oil leaking out of the part that sits on top of where we put the engine oil. The clutch cable goes to it. That part popped up. That is where the oil came from. I think. I will attach pic. I am pointing to the problem. No oil light came on and I have been monitoring my oil level. Everything seems fine so far. My journey will finish in two nights. Any advice would be most appreciated. Sorry for vague girlie description! I was going to call you but at the time only had your email. If you know of the solution maybe you could please advise how I fix it. I will be returning to Qld in about 6 wks

No one seems to be jumping in so I'll offer my advice from when I had a similar problem on another bike. I had to unhook the cable in front of your finger then push down and to the right or left to hook things up inside the case then reattach cable. In my case it was impossible to do this without unhooking the clutch cable first because it would prevent the part from turning enough to engage inside the case. You should be able to loosen the cable enough at the adjusters so that the cable can be disengaged. Remember how many turns you went to get it loose then the same when tightening and should be close enough to be useable until you can get dealer to check it out for you.

Possible though mine has no such clip. It is prevented from pulling out by the rotation under tension from the cable. That's why after the cable is released you push in and turn it to the right spot then hook up the cable which when retightened will lock it into place.

Turns out it was just oil coming from the breather in the aircleaner. Pretty normal for a Shadow. David.
