Hi, I'm new to this site, having just recently purchased a Honda VT400 2012 model. I haven't ridden a bike regularly for many years so still finding my feet. I must say that this is my first cruiser type, so is it normal that they don't like roundabouts or corners, because that's what i'm finding.
I would also be interested to find out if I should be using regular unleaded or premium, appreciate any input?
Thanks and Cheers from Kel.

Your preference On which brand from there . I usually go 98 when doing a lot of miles . The cruiser will lean a long way but unfortunately the pegs or boards will scrape and probably scare the shit out of you the first few times . lol. If the bike doesn't seem to lean smoothly however check your tyre pressure mate. Recommended is 29 fr and 32 rear but most go 32 or 34 fr and 36 or 38 rear . Great to have a rider from your part of the woods . Throw up some pics mate of the beast . Even some of your adventures whilst riding would be awesome .

Hi Swanee and welcome. Thank you for registering on the SRA forum. You are also invited to register with SRA. Please go to the SRA website home page at www.shadowbikers.net to register. When you register, I will process your registration and send you an SRA registration card and other information about SRA including membership, should you wish to become a member. Registration is free:) We had two riders from the N.T register with SRA back in 2011. One from Darwin and the other from Casuarina. Since registering, they have not been active on the forum and I am not sure whether they still ride Shadows.

Hi Swanee, welcome aboard mate, they do lean more then you think take it easy at first, then u will get the hang of it. I was in Darwin two Chrissys ago and that's when I rode my first Shadow loved it that much crusing on the open hwy up there I brought a newy as soon as I got home. I will see if my young mate still has it and if he is riding if so I will see if he wants to catch up with u for a ride, he lives around Parmo area.
