Hi all, Thanks Ray for the filter change video link, will save a lot of frustration for many including me, (I've battled a lot of filters but never knew about this). One thing not mentioned was why if you can screw it on you cannot get it off. I think the reason is that the seal is not o'ring material but something much softer ('n possibly cheaper). Over time the seal swells with heat and exposure to mineral products in the oil and some hydrochloric acid from condensation mixing with unburnt fuel (hydrocarbons) in the oil. When it swells it gets tighter. Also in the second video re diff oil change. Most people know this anyway but for those doing their first oil change it pays to get the oil in the bike as hot as possible by taking the bike for a ride beforehand. Have the collection pan and tools ready so when you return you can drop the oil straightaway. the two benefits are (1) more oil will drain out being hotter and thinner (2) worn metal will be still in suspension in the oil for long enough to drain with the oil instead of staying on the internal facing of the engine sump or diff. I do mine when I know I don't want the vehicle for a day. I let it drain overnight. It's surprising how much more oil will come out of a sump/diff if left to drain overnight. Cheers Ian
