Ok here goes.
The other half and I went for a ride. We live on the Gold Coast, and I LOVE Coolangatta, so we had a lil ride down there for a perve and a cold beer. Anyhow, we decided to park up this little carpark thing that I'd never noticed before to have a look at the beach from up high. Started walking down a path, and about 20m down the path my other half turns around for some reason n says, "Hey, your bike!"
I turned like a ninja and what do I see?
Three fkng Asians.... TWO SITTING ON MY BIKE!!! I shit you not.... the 3rd one was taking photos of them! To make it worse the chick on the back put my helmet on.
OMG
So I'm like "OI!! WTF!!" Start walking briskly toward my bike (I don't run HAHA) while yelling, "I don't fkn jump in your car while you're not looking, get the fk off my bike!" My other half yelling to them that I'll break their arms haha... They crapped themselves and ran away.
I still can't believe they did this to my baby... like really? Who DOES that?! Needless to say my blood was boiling and my heart was palpitating.
One thing about it all made me smile though.... they chose to sit on my Honda rather than the other halfs' Harley - haha!

Ha Ha, A similar thing happened to us recently. We were on a group ride with two American friends and stopped at Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Road for lunch. There were about 10 of us and while having lunch and looking out the window toward our bikes, a group of Asians came by and just started sitting on the bikes and taking photos. They got of quick smart when 10 angry riders came out and told them where to go.

Brenda and I were out for a ride on day last year and parked down in Glenelg, bloke standing beside my bike (VT 400) admiring it and says nice Harley mate A lot of people think that the cruiser style is defined by the word Harley, not a clue

I think I must be getting a bit soft in the head. I certainly understand the irritation & disgust regarding someone getting on our pride & joy etc etc. In a funny sort of way it is a compliment to what we have and how we look after them. I just wonder whether, because of the reaction, the next time those people walk by one of our machines, they pull out a knife and run it down the seat or something like that. Perhaps if the reaction had been something like "Oi, if you want a photo of the bike, let me take it and you can buy me a beer after", we might get more people interested in getting a bike and riding, might even make new friends. Not criticising, just thinking there might be another way of dealing with a problem. (and no I'm not a social worker, in fact I manage a compliance & enforcement unit and have my fill of miscreants on a daily basis). No, I am getting soft in the head.
Cheers ... Mark

You're right, you are getting soft.

Admire from afar. Sorry. No matter what the object, you do NOT touch other peoples belongings. Let alone sit on and wear them.

Admire from afar. Sorry. No matter what the object, you do NOT touch other peoples belongings. Let alone sit on and wear them. People from other cultures don't understand us over here. Because they all live on top of each other, so to speak, and possibly share what they own with there neighbours, they think nothing of jumping on your bike. Like I wouldn't think twice of jumping on there heads. I've had them. Cheers
