Hey folks New to the VT750 world. I'm having trouble deciphering model and VIN details. My rego papers call the bike a VT7504A Compliance plate calls it a VT750C4 08/06 VIN decoding determines it to be a VT750C7 2007 model Shaft drive. and according to this post (very helpful thank you) hondashadowriders.proboards.com/thread/4734/shadow-shapes-models it looks like it's an Aero (bigger front wheel, larger front fender and straight rear rails). Hopefully the pictures below help. (NB: exhaust below is aftermarket Vance and Hines) Further to this I have picked up a set of stock exhausts for what now looks like an '05 Aero which seem to match the '06 Aero but the '07 has dual bullet pipes instead of the single 2-into-1 pipe. (See below) I need stock exhaust for clearing rego. Thanks in advance 662 671

looking at that it's a 2007 aero.
parts from 2004 and up aero models will fit your bike. Hope you got the mounting bracket for the stock pipes because it's different to the one that is on there for the vance and hines pipes.where the pipes bolt on at the rear. 2008 aero first model with twin pipes, then 2009 and up have twin pipes but EFI so have co2 plugs welded to the pipes.
the 2007 model with twin pipes is a spirit model also EFI.
hope this helps,
And well come.
cheers,
spinal

Hi Bones and welcome mate. Agree with Spinal on all his comments. 07 model was last to have the disc on left side so its not an 08. Definately aero model . Cheers Ray .

Thanks to Ray and Spinal for your feedback. No mounting bracket with the pipes. Also seems to be a couple mil out on the rear outlet fit. Looks like I need to find a stock mounting bracket and bolts. Genuine is $80+ bolts. Any ideas for good bike wreckers?
With respect and thanks in advance.

A die grinder should fix ya holes to line up . 8-)As far as wreckers go mate well i cant help your there .Just google wreckers in your area or nearest to you . Could try ebay as well . Get everything plus a sink there mate . Hope this helps as well . With your VIN number you could email SImon at Badpenycustoms.com.au and ask him . He used to help us out there at one time and sure he still would .,He,s an old and well respected member of SRA .He can work out the year model and where the bike was manufactured . Cheers RAy

Just a quick correction for anyone that comes across this while trying to identify their bike. My 2008 aero has efi and the O2 sensors on the original pipes (not on bike now). Brake on the right side. The month of manufacture is September. Late 2008 must be when the efi was introduced to the aero. I have read somewhere else of 2008 models being fuel injected, but then I have also read the opposite.
