Hi, I am planning a trip to Tassie early next year, late February or early March. For those who have ridden in Tassie, is there one ride I just have to do while there, assuming it will be the only chance I get to ride down there.

Hi John - are you going down to Tassie for the Ulysses AGM. If you aren't be warned there will be 3000 odd Ulysses over there from Feb 29th till March 6th. You may have trouble booking for the boat a few days before and after these dates. I will be over there from 28th Feb till March 13th and will also be looking for nice places to ride and see.

John, I've been over twice on the bike. Before we left last time, our group was told that the Lake Leake Hwy from Campbell Town to Swansea was a "must ride" road. I can assure you that it didn't disappoint.
Our group consisted of a Ducati (who led the way doing 190), A Vulcan Voyager and a BMW (doing 180), a Boulevard (flat chat at 160 but keeping up with the V V and the Beamer because the ex-motorcycle cop didn't slow down for the turns), plus another mate on a Suzuki Volusia and myself on a VT750S trundleing along on 100 at the rear of the field. He and I were by far the two oldest and most sensible. They'd finished their coffee by the time we got there.
But hey, it was a great road. It won't disappoint.

Though will be a great trip doing the island. I'd suggest getting in contact with the State Co there .Should be a contact for him in the office bearer section on the SRA home page . Sure he'll help out and even meet up for a ride . There is a couple of members that way . Enjoy the ride .I believe nearly all the rides are very exhilerating and worth the effort to do .
