Can't believe it, the Aldi GPS came back from the warranty people today & they have sent the same bracket back again , It's too small for the handlebars & I've sent it back TWICE. What do you have to do??? Dangermouse, I see your photo, how did you mount yours, I can't see a handlebar bracket?

I have the ALDI GPS and all I did to mount it was go get longer screws...I also had a little left-over door/window rubber seal strips which I cut to size and stuck inside the bracket to prevent any scratching to the bars (rubber side to bars, adhesive side to bracket).

Thanks for that i must give it a go. They have told me it would be at least a week before they got any clamps in for 25mm handlebars. Did you shorten the cable between the holding bracket & where the 'screw in ' joiner is for the GPS cable?

I'm off touring from Brisbane to Victoria & back in three weeks and would be glad of advice on a reasonable 'value for money' GPS. Can't afford to get anything too fancy - something under $100. Any advice anyone? Thanks in advance. Lisbeth Qld Club Lisbeth, guess what, next Thurs (24th) Aldi has a GPS special again:- 5" Slim Design GPS for $ 139 * -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * 3D elevation as well as terrain visualisation * Text to speech (spoken street names) * Red light/speed camera and school zone alerts * Displays speed limits, lane guidance, multi-media, auto-play back, multimedia video and E-book functions Might just be what you're looking for.
