Be part of the 1st awareness ride organized by Gippsland motorcycle club & Inline4cafe.This year we have already lost too many of our fellow riders. This ride is for them and their families and for everyone else to be made aware of our presence as motorcyclists. Ride destination is to the " Blessing of the Bikes 3" in Mirboo North (1.5hrs) which is promoting motorcycle safety and an event to remember the fallen ones that are no longer with us. Last year there where 6,000 bikes with an expected 10,000 bikes this year. Come along share your passion as a motorcylist and be part of helping making the road a safer place. We will only make an impact on the day with lots and lots of bikes riding with us . Please help us and share this event with everyone you know to bring the numbers together we need

Sorry guys but i am working on Saturday.
One thing i do know is that you will enjoy the ride across the Strezlecki Ranges and into Mirboo North. Also they serve a mean coffee.
Ride safe

We have ridden the Strezleki Ranges before and yes it is a magnificent ride. I am sure that on any other weekend the coffee would be the best, BUT when you might have up to 10,000 bikers plus family and friends and other visitors in town, perhaps the coffee might be a bit rushed and might lose some flavour. We shall wait and see.
Kandyman, I have looked around on the web and cannot find anywhere that other States do a similar ride.
Anyway, at this stage I will be there with the SRA flag.

What a big turn out from Victorian Motorcyclists. The main meeting point was at the BP Officer. I there caught up with Nick. When I got there, there were already a couple of hundred bikes there. Nick then told me there's about a thousand around the back. I went around the back. OMG1. I there found SRA members Danny, Janet and Frank and Shane (289). There were six escort motor bike police who will escort the ride for the one and a half hour trip. We soon hit the Highway and as far as the eyes could see was all motor bikes. Pity anyone that tried to enter the highway. They would have had a long long wait. When we got to the town of Mirboo North where the Blessing takes place, there was a gate into town with Chaplains on either side who would offer a blessing to each bike as it passed through. It was near impossible to try and photo the huge magnitude of bikes there. Bikes just kept coming and coming. Although there was a huge variety of makes and brands of bikes this Indian really took my fancy. Now there is a possible future purchase for George? As I was leaving I was stopped by Peter who is a newish SRA member but has not had the opportunity to catch up with us yet. Soon though. also although I did not bump into them SRA members Kerry and her better half were also there to enjoy the day. There were stalls, bands, food vans all sorts of things happening there. They were expecting ten thousand bikes to attend and I think they got pretty close. The main street reminded me of a scene like the SAU bike rally at Sturgis. (Maybe not as big LOL) On the way home gale force winds hit and while on the highway near Pakenham I came around a bend and the wind was that strong that it literally pushed my bike across the lane. I had to put me feet down to steady the bike. My heart skipped a thousand beats, it was not pleasant. The wind did not let up for the rest of the trip home. It was an awesome day and a great thrill to ride with so many bikes.
