well have just put new pipes on took about 1 1/2 to do, really straight forward also replaced air filter with K&N one. OH BOY what a difference sounds like the bike looks now [mean] off to the shop tomorrow [22/03/2011] to get get carb re-jetted.
will post pic's when finished.

Cool mate can't wait for the pics. So have you got a power commander as well to get a dyno done or leaving that for a another time. Baffled or not. Been told the baffles do jack so would be good to know. Another question whilst i'm raving on here is the pipes ,do they have oxygen sensor holes or not and what did you do to get around that ,providing they were on the bike to start with. Cheers Ray

by the sounds of what chris said, he has a carb so no need for the power commander. PCs are for fuel injected bikes.

Just fitted the standard pipes I got on loan,ready for the pits tomorrow,Weird!!! They are so quiet, half the time I dont know which gear I'm in.Must say I haven't noticed any significant drop in performance,think maybe the carb was rejetted when the pipes were fitted,as they are a bit sooty inside,I like to see a nice dark beige colour if it's tuned properly,but the plugs are just the colour they should be,and it goes well enough, so won't be changing anything.

Ignore what I said.Just been for a bit of a lively run, "ORRIBLE",no top end at all,and acceleration was pitiful around 120.Want my bike back 'as was'.

waiting waiting? took bike in to get re-jetted they say i have bought the wrong one's Dynojet sku1198 i ask in the USA to make sure they where the right one's for my model. the bike shop say's i need part number e1183 or DJ 1183 but when i google this part number it say's for 98-03 ACE MODEL anybody out there no for sure, have emailed USA where i got them from, two day's now and nothing WTF.

Bike breezed over pits,now back to normal,just waiting some bits to do a full tune.Happy!!
