Hi all,
Same as most people, I dislike the standard brakes on my 2012 VT400. Is anyone able to advise if I am able to install maybe ABS brakes or if I can install VT750 brakes on the VT400? If so, does this help?
Cheers! JH

Whats wrong with the brakes on the 400? I've had mine for 6 years and I've clocked up near on 50 000km, she has 68 000 on the clock and doing well I've never heard anyone say they don't like the brakes

I find them a bit slow to respond, bit spongy. Have to really apply pressure to come to a stop. She's only got 13,600km's. Maybe I just have really bad brakes?

Hello, If I was you I would bleed the system and possibly replace the pads, I have over 90 000 km's on my vt 400, with no problem from the brakes at all.

Try and adjust your brakes first being that there's 13000km then check if there's enough fluid in the top if not add then bleed brakes check pads also

I have recently replaced the standard front brake line on my VT750 for a braided line and it has made quite a difference to the feel and response of the front brake
