Headlight globes

So, on the ride to Qld and back my HID globe started playing up pretty badly. When I got home, it would only work intermittently. I chatted with a truck driver that I work with and he suggested an LED globe (H4), but quite short so that it would fit in the housing. Needless to say, I am really happy with the new globe. The HID globe didn't last 12 months and had started to develop a bubble (I hope you can see it in the photo). It will be interesting to see how long the LED one lasts. The photos also show low vs high beam with the new globe. I have also attached the link for the LED globe I put in.

Wow now that's bright. I will change my globe also as the light is very poor.

Great bit of light there, know what my next replacement will be

When you read the specs on the LED globe, it is 4000 lumens on low beam. 8000 lumens on high. Fairly bright for just one globe!

Have you got a pic of the new globe?
Did it fit into your bucket ok ?

The bits came out of the bowl, so it freed up a lot of space in it. Fit nicely. The HID ballast was mounted under the light bar.

Just placed an order for a pair, just in case I don't like them on the bike I will stick them on the car.
