was thinking that maybe easter 2013, as that gives more than enough warning and time to plan for all..
massive road trip to darwin and back.. say 7-10 days all up on the saddle.. giving options of going up the middle bris-mt isa-darwin. spend 2 nights there, then back via cairns and down the highway...
the bonus of doing 500-600kms a day is that gives you plenty of time to be happy enough to see the guy/girl on the bike behind you again that next night at dinner time...
any thoughts?

Shit dont know if my arse can take 500-600k a day, if I did I wouldnt want to look at anything but a pillow, and No Way i'd be guts up in bed, would have to give the rear end a bit of a rest I think ;D

lol, just looked at the distance on google maps.. its almost 8000 kms...
might take a little longer than first thought..
but am still keen for something of this magnitude

Interesting to say the least. 500-600 ks a day that's no prob for me but a snigger behind me now may mean someone wouldn't be to keen.  Good thought Sed and worth keeping up with. Cheers Ray |

 Ray maybe this is the way we should have org'd the meet and Greet for Oct next year. Just picked a place to ride to and said we will be there to meet any one who is in for a ride to greet us. LOL Steve

I did Darwin - Brisbane in Dec 2011 in my 88 Hilux in 2 days. Now that was rough.
