The wife & I just got back from a week in Phuket. What a great place. Nothing to do but lie around in the sun & drink beer, life's hard ain't it. We did the local thing & hired a scooter for transport, then toured the coast of the island from Rawai to Patong, stopping at the beautiful beaches on the way for a dip and refreshments. Man, they have no road rules here. Red lights mean slow, look then storm on through. 2 lanes mean 3 cars & 4 scooters abreast. Indicators are unheard of, and one scooter can carry an entire family. Love it so much we have to go back next year. Here's some happy snaps of me with the mighty Yamaha Mio plus some water sports.

Damn right I would, it was kind of our second honeymoon. If you.re going for a quiet time, I would recommend staying on the lower east coast of the Island as Phuket City & Patong on the west coast are very busy & touristy. We stayed at Serenity Resort in Rawai and the Royal Phuket Yacht Club on Nai Harn beach also looked very nice.

Koh Samui is also awesome!, and I highly recommend it for honeymooning...another alternative is Okinawa, Japan!
