 Is anyone able to point this gent in the right direction Message below Hi there,
My name is Nicole and I am a member of the Dutch Shadow MC. I might have a ought question but I hope you can help me.
On the 2 of December I am flying to Sydney and planning to travel by bike for about 20 days before heading to Tasmania.
As I am driving a Shadow (VT750 C2 Ace) at home, I prefer to ride a Shadow in Australia as well. It will also cover a nice story for in our magazine: The Shadow Pages.
Unfortunately the place I suppose to rent the Shadow VT750c with sold the bike recently and it is not sure if they buy another before my arrival. So I am looking for other options to rent a Shadow and I hope you can help me with the right and trustful information.
Do you know any trustful company in Sydney I can rent a Shadow? Or do you have other suggestions for me?
It would also be great to meet some Shadow worshipers during my (round) trip. I might do a roundtrip back to Sydney or drive from Sydney to Melbourne.
I hope you can help me!

BikeRoundOz for sure. Great to deal with, bike in very good condition, and reasonably priced too! We'll certainly be hiring from them on our next trip down to see you guys.
The bike we hired is on our avatar.
Don't assume anything with Dutch names Steve. "Ann" of the Dutch crew is one of the biggest buggers you could ever meet. And a very nice bloke too LOL

might be better of buying one doing the ride and selling it when going home.
Bike hire $2700 for 20 days bond $2500 & $5000 excess. Have an accident and it becomes a very expensive hire.
Buy then sell wouldn't loose more than $2000 never know might even break even. Pick up a good used VT750 for $5000 - $ 7000 & insurance
Works for the backpackers in cars.

Nicole, you could organise someone who will be at your point of entry to buy the bike for you before you arrive. Someone could also sell it for you after you depart.

But as I don't know anyone in Sydney it might be a bit strange to ask if anyone among you, living in Sydney, can/will help me (a foreign stranger) out?
I already browsed the web (bikesales.com.au) and I spotted a private used (I think) nice looking bike for sale in Sydney, Mayfield.
2003 HONDA VT750C Shadow Classic (chain drive) $5,200*, 23,600 kms, Black, Engine Capacity 745

Owner says: BARGAIN!!!!! Great reliable bike. Awesome highway tourer, lots of power. Bike has been regularly serviced. New front tyre. Vance & Hines exhaust recently installed. Sounds great. Bike comes with sissy bar , saddle bags. And brand new 22 inch fat windshield! Small scratch on fuel tank. Make an offer!
