G'day, just thought I would share some quick pics of the shadow I have owned for the past 4 days. Where does the time go? She's a 2001 VT400, limited number import according to the plate affixed to the frame. I've calculated I'm only 17 years late to legally riding motorbikes. Being on L's the choices for something that would work well and thrill at the same time are fairly limited, which works out well because so were my funds. My mother had a shadow 750 which she has only recently bequeathed to one of my older sisters. I too wanted one when it came time to buy, of course I can only ride a 400 legally, but even with that, I couldnt find one that was less than 7 grand. But right at the 11th hour this one came along at a bit over 5. It already had pipes and "applied with a spray gun" matte black paint. Perfect! A few minor details to fettle then she will be perfect. Not sure if the original owner is/was on here? Also, if anyone can tell me where they get there shadow accessories from that would be helpful too. Thanks.

Hi ya mate and welcome aboard. The bike looks great i must say . Good pick up ,i,m sure you will get many hrs of riding pleasure. Ok if you ho into bliing and barney section there is a list of bike links around the world to choose from. First though we have Simon on board here that owns badpenmy customs in perth . He can source o/seas parts at a reasonable price . Other than that if you wish to do it by yourself look up customcruising and meancycle links in the above mentioned section. They are the most used locations . There is a load more and some will members will give you a heads up on this as well. Ok now u mentioned your sis has now got mums ride so how about getting her on board mate. Lol Cheers Ray

So mate where are you located ?? Thanks all again for the welcomes. I'm at Dungog NSW. About an hour north-ish of Newcastle. I'm going to try and hurry up the Learner's part of the licencing. Still has to be 6 months minimum though. I won't be making anyone hang around doing 80 with me on a ride.
